2. Start your application to Ontario Works

The Ontario Human Rights Commission has released their latest take on mandatory vaccines, passports and testing, here: http://www.ohrc.on.ca/en/news_centre/ohrc-policy-statement-covid-19-vaccine-mandates-and-proof-vaccine-certificates. In light of this update, and the new directives that the Province released a few weeks ago, we are in the process of updating our covid testing content. Please re-visit the site to access the updated content when it is available.

You may be able to start your Ontario Works (OW) application online.

Or, you can contact your local OW office.

Finding your local OW office

There are a number of ways to find the OW office nearest you.

You can use the provincial government’s online Ontario Social Assistance Office Finder, where you enter your address or postal code.

You can contact ServiceOntario and give them your postal code.

Or, you can call 211 and give them your postal code.

If you start your application online

Make sure to have all of your information and documents ready before you start filling out the online application.
