2. Go to meetings set up by the Employment Standards Officer

The Employment Standards Officer (ESO) might ask you and your employer to come to a meeting. At the meeting, the ESO will ask both of you questions about your claim.

It’s important to go to the meeting. If you don’t go, the ESO will only hear from your employer about what happened.

Bring all of your documents with you to the meeting.

If you’re not comfortable speaking English or French, bring someone who can interpret for you. If you can, it’s best to use a professional interpreter.
