Can ODSP help pay for a special diet?The Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) will send you a letter with their decision about your application for a special diet allowance.
If ODSP gives you a special diet allowance
If ODSP decides to give you a special diet allowance, the letter will tell you the amount.
ODSP will also say if they’ve decided to give you a “review date”. This means that ODSP plans to review your medical condition at that time to see if you still need a special diet allowance.
If ODSP refuses to give you a special diet allowance
If ODSP refuses to give you a special diet allowance, you may be able to appeal the decision.
