4. Ask Ontario Works to pay for the documents

OW wants proof of something I can’t give them. What can I do?If you can’t afford to get the documents that Ontario Works (OW) wants, ask them to pay for the cost of getting the documents.
For example, if OW wants to see banking records and you have to pay a fee to get these from the bank, ask OW to pay the fee.
You may want to get help from a community legal clinic if OW:
- asks for documents you can’t afford to get, and
- refuses to pay for them.
