3. Get ready to meet with a lawyer or legal worker

The Ontario Human Rights Commission has released their latest take on mandatory vaccines, passports and testing, here: http://www.ohrc.on.ca/en/news_centre/ohrc-policy-statement-covid-19-vaccine-mandates-and-proof-vaccine-certificates. In light of this update, and the new directives that the Province released a few weeks ago, we are in the process of updating our covid testing content. Please re-visit the site to access the updated content when it is available.

A lawyer or legal worker at a community legal clinic may be able to:

  • help you understand what the rules are about getting Ontario Works (OW)
  • explain your legal rights and responsibilities
  • help you solve a problem by talking to OW for you
  • let you know how long it might take if you have to appeal a decision by OW

When you talk to a lawyer or legal worker, it’s important to show them any documents that relate to your problem, including letters from OW.
