Can I still get OW while I’m in the hospital?If you’re getting from Ontario Works (OW), you have to tell them when you move or change where you’re living.
For example, you need to tell OW if you’re staying in one of the following:
- a general hospital
- a psychiatric hospital
- a rehabilitation hospital
- a live-in program for treating substance abuse
- a long-term care home
You need to tell OW so they can decide:
- if you still qualify for assistance, and
- how much assistance you should get.
