Figure out if you’re eligible for other benefits

If you get the Canada child benefit (CCB), you automatically get the Ontario Child Benefit, if you qualify. Whether you qualify is based on your income.

You may also be able to get the child disability benefit. To qualify, you have to be approved by the government.

You don’t have to apply for either of these benefits separately from your CCB application.

Transition Child Benefit

You may be eligible for the Transition Child Benefit if:

• you’re in the process of applying for the CCB
• you’re not eligible for the CCB (for example, because of your immigration status)
• you’re appealing a decision about the CCB
