The has an online tool to help you figure out what you might get from the Canada child benefit (CCB).

For each child under 6, you can get up to $6,496 a year, which is $541.33 each month.

For each child 6 to 17 years old, you can get up to $5,481 a year, which is $456.75 each month.

Family income

If you’re eligible for the CCB, you’ll get the maximum amount if your family is less than $30,000 a year.

If your family income is more than $30,000, the amount you get may be less.

The higher your income, the less money you get. And if you have a very high income, you may not get the CCB at all.

Taxes

You don’t have to pay taxes on the money you get from the CCB.
