Will ODSP help pay my costs when I travel for medical treatment?When you ask for help with travel costs as part of the Mandatory Special Necessities benefit, the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) sends you a letter to tell you their decision.
If ODSP agrees to pay
If ODSP decides to help pay for your travel costs, they can:
- add the amount to your monthly
- pay the company or service that you use, for example, a taxi company
If ODSP refuses to pay
If ODSP refuses to help pay for your travel costs, you may be able to appeal their decision.
