Please re-visit the site to access the updated content when it is available.

Get legal help if Ontario Works (OW) thinks that:

  • you live with someone but you don’t
  • the person you live with is your spouse but they’re not

It’s important to get legal help because OW could decide that you got money you should not have received. This is called an and they can take steps to get the money back.

And if they think you broke the rules on purpose, they can ask the police to charge you with fraud.
