What problems can I apply to the LTB about?After your is filed, the Board will schedule a hearing. They will also give you a Notice of Hearing package or send it in the mail. This package contains a copy of your application and information about the time and place of the hearing. The Board will mail a copy of this package to your landlord.
Put the hearing date in your calendar. If you miss the hearing, the Board will probably dismiss your application.
You should start getting ready for your hearing right away after you file your application. You can also see if you and your landlord can agree to settle the case before the hearing.
It is important to be fully prepared for your hearing. You only get one chance. If you are not prepared or are missing important evidence, the Board probably won’t let you come back another day.
