Can my landlord keep my deposit because of damage?
If you think your landlord might try to make you pay for repairs or cleaning, make sure you have proof that you left your apartment in good shape.
You could do this by taking pictures of your place when you move out.
You could also have someone look at your place just before you leave, in case you need a witness later. You could have a friend do this, but it may be better to find someone who would not be seen as being on your side.
