Find out why the CPP might contact you

After you send in your application for disability benefits, the CPP may call you to:

  • explain how the application process works and how they make their decision
  • answer any questions you have about the application process
  • get any other information they need to make their decision
  • get another doctor to assess your disability

If the CPP wants another doctor to assess your disability, they will set up the appointment.

The CPP does not contact everyone for more information. If there’s enough information in your application, they’ll contact you when they’ve made a decision.
