4. Complete your diversion

The time it takes to complete your Indigenous diversion depends on what you’re asked to do and how quickly you can complete it. Your diversion could be complete in a number of weeks, or it might take many months.

Some Indigenous diversion programs might require that you return to court to give updates on the progress of your diversion.

Ask your lawyer or duty counsel about the process for Indigenous diversion at your courthouse.
