4. Contact the Long-Term Care Action Line

You can also call the Long-Term Care Action Line at 1-866-434-0144 if a home care worker abuses you.

You don’t have to give your name or contact information when you call. But it might be easier for the Long-Term Care Action Line to help if you give that information.

The Long-Term Care Action Line takes complaints about home care services or any issues you might have with a Local Health Integration Network.

The Long-Term Care Action Line can connect you with an Independent Complaints Facilitator. The Facilitator will listen and try to help you. The Facilitator will keep your information private. But if you give your permission, the Facilitator can contact the service provider to try to resolve the problem.
