Family dispute resolution Guided Pathway
CLEO’s Guided Pathway to resolving family law disputes provides information on different processes to resolve conflict and agree on issues when your relationship ends. Choosing the best dispute resolution process for your situation can help reduce the emotional impact of separation or divorce on you and your children.
The pathway describes considerations or issues that often come up when people are separating or divorcing, such as safety and communication. These considerations could affect whether a certain dispute resolution process is right for you. You can decide which of these considerations and processes you want to learn more about. If you have to go to court, the pathway can help you find the right court and location.
The pathway asks you questions, gives you information based on your answers, and allows you to save information that’s important to you in a personalized checklist. At the end of the pathway, you can download and save or print your checklist. The pathway is free to use.
Who is this Guided Pathway for?
This pathway is for designed for couples—married or common-law—who are separating or divorcing in Ontario. But the information may be helpful to anyone who wants to learn more about dispute resolution processes.
