Un avocat peut vous aider &agrave; comprendre vos droits et &agrave; d&eacute;cider si vous devez plaider coupable.<\/p>\n<p>Vous pouvez engager un parajuriste pour vous repr&eacute;senter si vous &ecirc;tes accus&eacute; d&rsquo;une infraction punissable sur d&eacute;claration sommaire de culpabilit&eacute; passible d&rsquo;une peine maximale qui consiste en&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>six mois d&rsquo;emprisonnement;<\/li>\n<li>une amende de 5&nbsp;000&nbsp;$; ou<\/li>\n<li>une combinaison de ces deux peines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Si vous n&rsquo;avez pas les moyens d&rsquo;engager un avocat ou un parajuriste, vous pouvez consulter un avocat de service. Les avocats de service sont des avocats qui travaillent dans les palais de justice. Ils sont employ&eacute;s par Aide juridique Ontario pour aider les personnes qui n&rsquo;ont pas d&rsquo;avocat. L&rsquo;avocat de service peut vous renseigner et vous conseiller sur les cons&eacute;quences du plaidoyer de culpabilit&eacute; et pr&eacute;senter des observations en votre nom au moment de la d&eacute;termination de la peine.<\/p>\n<h3>Agents de soutien en sant&eacute; mentale dans le contexte du tribunal<\/h3>\n<p>Si vous vivez avec un probl&egrave;me de sant&eacute; mentale, vous pourriez avoir le droit de vous faire accompagner au tribunal par un agent canadien de soutien en sant&eacute; mentale, qui pourra vous aider dans la proc&eacute;dure judiciaire.
